Does anyone remember history--does anyone know anything about China, Cuba, Russia, communism? Doesnt anyone read anymore .

Did we really win the Cold War to put a Marxist in the White House?
I'm afraid many people of this country are ignorant about the cold war or even the extremes of communism. Perhaps it is our failure as educators. I can only hope to keep working hard to offer students the truth--historically, socially, and philosophically that they may make informed decisions.
"Forgetfulness" seems to be an inherent part of modern civilization. We forget that there are people out there that want to kill us. We forget that there are those that we can't trust. We forget that ideas have consequences. We forget that occasionally you do have to kick sand in someones eyes. And in forgetting, we leave ourselves open to those that are ruthless in their acts.
